Here lately I have been on a Greek Mythology kick. A movie I watched sparked my interest, and then I came across this podcast the next day. I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t like a movie, where they recreate characters and tweak the storyline. This podcast, Let’s Talk About Myths, Baby!, is more like a fun narration. Liv, the host, tells the stories in an educational way with sarcastic comments that keep you laughing.

Her focus in this podcast is on Greek and Roman mythology. She touches on how awful they treated women in their stories and daily lives, but the podcast doesn’t center on these things. Like Liv, I find it fascinating that the Greeks and Romans were able to come up with such elaborate stories and how ridiculously crazy some of them get. She takes a break from retelling their myths to examine how the stories actually came about.

This is definitely a podcast worth listening to, but I will say it is one I have to be in the mood for. It’s a storytelling podcast about a subject that isn’t for me every day. Although the content is great, it can be tiresome to listen to story after story.
